Use data catalog service in iServer

The data catalog service can be used for Distributed Analysis Service in iServer.

Open data catalog service in SuperMap iDesktop

You can open the data catalog service in SuperMap iDesktop and add or delete datasets in it. Here are the steps:

  1. Open SuperMap iDesktop, and in the Datasources tab, click “Open”, and select “Web Datasources...”.

  2. On the left list of datasources, select BigDataStore.

  3. Input the iServer service address in the dialog box. The format is: {ip}:{port}

  4. Input the datasource alias name.

  5. Click “Open”.

Use data catalog service in iPortal

All the data that is uploaded in iPortal is binary data and can be stored in iServer DataStore. You can check any uploaded data package in the “Binary Data ID List” in the data catalog service resource datacatalog/binary/datasets. After you configure iServer Datastore and start it successfully, you also need to do the following configurations in iPortal:

Log in iPortal as Administrator. On the front page, click Manage->Manage Server-> Host Server, and select the tab “Configure Storage of Hosted Data”.

  1. “Storage Type”: select DATASTORE.

  2. "iServer Service Address": Input the iServer address that is related to iServer service. E.g. http://{ip}:8090/iserver.

After you finish the above configuration, click the button of “Verify” to check whether the configuration is valid. If it is valid, click “Save”.
